Dear Regional Directors,
I would like to share some news from the recent Executive Council meeting:
1) Several proposals to re-name the recently approved category “Veteran” were discussed by the Rules Committee and presented to the Executive Council by the Rules Committee Chair.
The Executive Council proposed some other options which are to be considered by the Rules Committee. Final decision will be presented to the Regions for their consideration.
2) Rules Interpretation to extend Production Optics Light was approved by the Executive Council. The Division will be voted on at the upcoming EGA in March.
3) Draft of the preparation plan for the Extraordinary General Assembly was discussed at the meeting. After approving it at the upcoming Continental Council, it will be presented to the Regions.
4) It was reported to the meeting that all the current IPSC Partners expressed their readiness in continuing the partnership with IPSC and some more Partners joined, one of them is BENELLI.
5) It was reported to the meeting that 11 Patrons have joined the program after introduction of the new Platinum Level and 1 more Patron is ready to join.
6) The LATAM and Caribbean Region working plan was presented to the meeting. It is under the EC consideration and will be discussed soon. General feeling of EC members is positive.
7) Several meetings with the Level IV-V Match Organizers were conducted. All Match Organizers agreed to cover the travel expenses for the IROA Officials as was promised at the IPSC General Assembly.
8) Ekaterina Niki and Roland Dahlman successfully won the opposition against the Spanish applicant, who tried to register his rights for the IPSC logo in Europe. Now IPSC is in the final stage to protect the IPSC logo in Europe and then in the world.

Me gustaría compartir algunas noticias de la reciente reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo:
1) Varias propuestas para cambiar el nombre de la categoría recientemente aprobada “Veterano” fueron discutidas por el Comité de Reglas y presentadas al Consejo Ejecutivo por el Presidente del Comité de Reglas.
El Consejo Ejecutivo propuso algunas otras opciones que serán examinadas por el Comité de Normas. La decisión final se presentará a las Regiones para su consideración.
2) Las interpretaciones de las reglas para extender Production Optics Light fueron aprobadas por el Consejo Ejecutivo. La División será votada en la próxima Asamblea General Extraordinaria (AGE) en Marzo.
3) En la reunión se debatió el borrador del plan de evaluación de la Asamblea General Extraordinaria. Después de aprobarlo en el próximo Consejo Continental, se presentará a las Regiones.
4) Se informó a la reunión de que todos los Socios actuales de IPSC (Partners) expresaron su disposición a continuar la asociación con IPSC y algunos Socios más se unieron, uno de ellos es BENELLI. El programa está desarrollado por Ekaterina Nikiforova.
Se informó a la reunión que 11 Patrocinadores se han unido al programa después de la introducción del nuevo Nivel Platino y un Patrón más está listo para unirse.
5) El plan de trabajo de LATAM y la Región Caribe fue presentado a la reunión. Está bajo la consideración de las CE y se debatirá en la próxima reunión de la CE.
6) Se llevaron a cabo varias reuniones con los organizadores de competencias de Nivel IV-V. Todos los organizadores de competencias acordaron cubrir los gastos de viaje de los funcionarios de IROA, como se prometió en la Asamblea General de IPSC.
7) Ekaterina Niki y Roland Dahlman lograron con éxito la transferencia de los derechos de propiedad de la marca IPSC del solicitante español a IPSC en Europa.

I would like to share some news from the recent Executive Council meeting:
1) Proposed draft of the Rules amendments were discussed at the meeting. Rules proposals from Brazil, Colombia and Israel were discussed at the meeting.
2) Draft IPSC General Assembly Final Agenda was discussed at the meeting.
3) IPSC participation in Shot Show 2023 and IWA Show 2023 was discussed at the meeting and it was decided to be presented in both events.
4) It was reported to the meeting that the first meeting of the IPSC Athlete Committee took place the day before the Executive Council meeting. IPSC Athlete Committee consists of 12 athletes representing different Regions and different IPSC Discipline.
5) HWS Statistics publication. The information about Teams and Individual categories will be presented to the Regional Directors soon.
6) IPSC participation in IF Forum and GAISF General Assembly 2023 was discussed at the meeting. The decision of IPSC participation was approved.
7) Requests from the Regions were discussed at the meeting.

Me gustaría compartir algunas noticias de la reciente reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo:
1) El borrador propuesto de enmiendas a las Reglas fue discutido en la reunión. Se discutieron las propuestas de reglas de Brasil, Colombia e Israel.
2) El borrador de la Agenda Final de la Asamblea General de IPSC fue discutido en la reunión.
3) En la reunión se discutió la participación de IPSC en Shot Show 2023 y el IWA Show 2023 y se decidió presentarse en ambos eventos.
4) Se informó que la primera reunión del Comité de Atletas de IPSC tuvo lugar el día anterior a la reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo. El Comité de Atletas de IPSC consta de 12 atletas que representan diferentes Regiones y diferentes Disciplinas de IPSC.
5) Publicación de estadísticas de HWS. La información sobre las categorías de Equipos e Individuales será presentada a los Directores Regionales próximamente.
6) En la reunión se discutió la participación de IPSC en el IF Forum y GAISF General Assembly de 2023. La decisión sobre la participación de IPSC fue aprobada.
7) Las solicitudes de las Regiones fueron discutidas en la reunión.

2) IPSC General Assembly provisional agenda was discussed at the meeting together with the proposed Constitution amendments.
3) A document describing the procedure of changing a Region for the IPSC Competitor or Match Official was discussed at the meeting. After the Continental Council consideration it will be published at the IPSC web page.

3) The IPSC President reported about his visit to Kenya and the plan for the IPSC development in the African Zone.

Dear Regional Directors,
I would like to share some news from the recent Executive Council meeting:
1) An Audited Financial report was presented to the meeting and it will be sent to the Regional Directors together with the Provisional Agenda later on.
2) The proposal to extend the General Assembly for half a day as it was recommended by the Continental Council members was discussed. There will be a lot of items to discuss: Rules amendments, Presidential election, etc. We will try our best to conduct the General Assembly during one day but in case it takes longer, it can be prolonged for half a day.
3) Trademark registration update was presented to the meeting. IPSC worldwide registration is in progress.
4) IPSC representative to participate in AIMS Working Groups was discussed at the meeting. We are looking for volunteers to be part of this organization leading the world sport. Further details will be sent in a separate email.
5) Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) plan was discussed at the meeting as it is GAISF and Olympic Committee recommendation. It will be further discussed at the next EC meetings.
6) Bahrain’s application was considered by the meeting. Since the documentation provided was not enough, their application cannot be approved at the moment.

Me gustaría compartir algunas noticias de la reciente reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo:
1) Se presentó en la reunión un Informe Financiero Auditado y será enviado a los Directores Regionales junto con la Agenda Provisional más adelante.
2) Se discutió la propuesta de extender la Asamblea General por medio día siguiendo la recomendación de los miembros del Consejo Continental. Habrá muchos temas para discutir: enmiendas a las reglas, elección presidencial, etc. Haremos todo lo posible para llevar a cabo la Asamblea General durante un día, pero en caso de que tome más tiempo, se puede prolongar por medio día adicional.
3) Se presentó a la reunión la actualización del registro de marcas. El registro mundial de IPSC está en progreso.
4) El representante de IPSC para participar en los Grupos de Trabajo de AIMS fue discutido en la reunión. Buscamos voluntarios para formar parte de esta organización líder en el deporte mundial. Se enviarán más detalles en un correo electrónico separado.
5) El plan de desarrollo de atletas a largo plazo (LTAD, por sus siglas en inglés) se discutió en la reunión, ya que es una recomendación del GAISF y del Comité Olímpico. Se seguirá discutiendo en las próximas reuniones del CE.
6) La solicitud de Bahrein fue considerada por la reunión. Dado que la documentación aportada no fue suficiente, su solicitud no puede ser aprobada en este momento.

Dear Regional Directors,
I would like to share some news from the recent Continental Council meeting:
1) IPSC Continental Council members shared the information on current situations in their Zones. In general the situation is positive: membership rate in the Regions is growing, COVID influences less and less, and many Level II-III matches are being conducted.
2) HWS preparation report was presented to the meeting. New travel regulations allow participants to enter Thailand either with a vaccination certificate or negative COVID test result. Some more hotels will provide a discount for match participants. The scheme with 8 participants in the squad will be tested in Level III Match in August. It was reminded that ammo can be brought to the country only together with a firearm of this caliber. And inside the country it is forbidden to carry ammo only, without a firearm. The amount of ammo which can be brought to the country without any tax or with a small tax is about 800 rounds.
3) EHC 2023 preparation report was presented to the meeting. The match will take place in Corinth, Greece. Railway station, city center and the range are very close to each other. There are 31 bays at the range. The range is about 1-hour drive from the Athens airport. It is possible to ship ammo before the match.
4) IPSC ESS Contract was presented at the meeting. Several Regions have been using the system and they provided the feedback that the system works perfectly: it saves a lot of time and effort; there is no problem of missing score sheets anymore; it is very environmentally friendly as no paper is used and many other advantages. It was emphasized that it is not only a scoring system but a match managing system. Once the contract is finalized, it will be sent to the Continental Council and later to the Regions.
5) The report on AIMS and GAISF was presented to the meeting. It was emphasized that IPSC is an AIMS member. AIMS is an Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sports under IOC approval and supervision. Even if GAISF is dissolved or “merged” as new President, Mr. Ivo Ferriani said, IPSC stays in the Recognised Sports Family forever. And we continue our work in getting IOC recognition.

Me gustaría compartir algunas noticias de la reciente reunión del Consejo Continental:
1) Los miembros del Consejo Continental de IPSC compartieron la información sobre las situaciones actuales en sus Zonas. En general, el panorama es positivo: la tasa de membresía en las Regiones está creciendo, el COVID influye cada vez menos y se están realizando muchos partidos de Nivel II-III.
2) Se presentó a la reunión el informe de preparación de HWS. Las nuevas regulaciones de viaje permiten a los participantes ingresar a Tailandia con un certificado de vacunación o con un resultado negativo de la prueba COVID. Algunos hoteles más ofrecerán un descuento para los participantes a la competencia. El esquema con 8 participantes en el equipo (squad) se probará en el partido de Nivel III en agosto. Se recordó que sólo se puede traer munición al país junto con un arma de fuego del mismo calibre. Y dentro del país está prohibido portar munición solamente, sin arma de fuego. La cantidad de munición que se puede traer al país sin ningún impuesto o con un pequeño impuesto es de unos 800 cartuchos.
3) Se presentó a la reunión el informe de preparación de EHC 2023. La competencia tendrá lugar en Corinto, Grecia. La estación de tren, el centro de la ciudad y la cordillera están muy cerca uno del otro. Hay 31 bahías en la cancha. La cancha queda a aproximadamente 1 hora en coche desde el aeropuerto de Atenas. Es posible enviar munición antes de la competencia.
4) El Contrato IPSC ESS fue presentado en la reunión. Varias Regiones han estado usando el sistema y proporcionaron comentarios de que el sistema funciona perfectamente: ahorra mucho tiempo y esfuerzo; ya no hay problema de que falten hojas de puntuación; es muy respetuoso con el medio ambiente ya que no se utiliza papel y muchas otras ventajas. Incluso si GAISF se disuelve o se “fusiona” como dijo el nuevo presidente, Sr. Ivo Ferriani, IPSC permanece en la Familia Deportiva Reconocida para siempre. Y continuamos nuestro trabajo para obtener el reconocimiento del COI.
