Uhersky Brod (3 July 2025)
The CZ Shooting Team achieved another outstanding success at the prestigious CZ Extreme Euro Open, an IPSC practical shooting competition held from 26 to 28 June 2025 at the shooting range in Hodonice near Znojmo. This year, the event also served as the Czech National Championship, meaning that the highest-ranked Czech shooter in each division earned the national champion title.
The CZ Extreme Euro Open is one of the largest and most demanding competitions of the shooting season and, in terms of size and competition level, it is comparable to the World Championship. This year’s event attracted 1,138 shooters from 59 countries, including many elite competitors. Participants faced 30 dynamic and technically challenging stages that, despite their difficulty, allowed for smooth and enjoyable shooting. Weather conditions were changeable, with alternating heat and thunderstorms.
Members of the CZ Shooting Team delivered excellent performances, confirming their place among the world’s best shooters.
In the OPEN division, Robin Sebo claimed victory with a flawless performance, securing both the gold medal and the Czech national champion title. Martina Sera took silver in the Lady category and also became the Czech national champion. Both team members competed in this division with CZ 75 TS CZECHMATE pistols.
In the PRODUCTION division, Argentinian shooter Juan Pablo Duran won silver and his compatriot German Romitelli took bronze. Serbian shooter Ljubisa Momcilovic defended his title in the Senior category, while Italy’s Camilla Almici dominated the Lady category. All CZ Shooting Team members in this division competed with CZ SHADOW 2 ORANGE pistols.
The highly contested PRODUCTION OPTICS division was again dominated by France’s Eric Grauffel. Martin Kamenicek secured bronze and the Czech national champion title, while junior shooter Robin Grauffel won his category and placed seventh overall. CZ Shooting Team shooters used CZ SHADOW 2 OR pistols in this division.
In the STANDARD division, Filipino shooter Kahlil Adrian Viray earned silver, and Zdenek Liehne took bronze along with the Czech national champion title. In the Senior category, gold went to Josef Rakusan and silver to Petr Znamenacek. Team members competed with CZ TS 2 ORANGE pistols in this division.
The CZ Extreme Euro Open 2025 served as an important preparation event for many shooters ahead of the upcoming World Championship, which will take place at the end of September in South Africa.
Ceska zbrojovka a.s., as the general partner of the CZ Extreme Euro Open, would like to thank the organisers for the excellent preparation and smooth running of the competition, the referees for their dedication, and all shooters for their participation and sportsmanship. We congratulate all medallists and wish them continued success this season.
