Held at the Protea Hotel in Klerksdorp, South Africa, on Saturday, 20 September 2025, this year’s IPSC General Assembly was filled with important discussions, updates, and exciting decisions for the future of IPSC. A total of 75 voting Regions and 2 proxies participated to shape the future of our sport!

Key highlights:
🔹 Mr. Vitaly Kryuchin was re-elected as IPSC President by a unanimous vote at the 49th General Assembly held on September 20th, 2025, in South Africa!
He will lead the organization for the next four-year term (2026-2029), continuing his dedicated service to the IPSC community. Congratulations, Mr. Kryuchin!

🔹 Division Proposals & New Division Announcement
OPTICS DIVISION – this new division is approved by the vote of the GA and aims to further diversify our sport!
🔹 Announcement: New Categories Adopted 🔹
- IPSC is pleased to inform all participants that new competition categories have been officially adopted across all disciplines: Lady Junior Individual and Team Categories. These additions aim to promote inclusivity and encourage more female junior shooters to participate at all levels of competition.
- Athletes competing in the Junior and Lady Junior Individual and Team categories across all IPSC disciplines will remain in their respective categories until December 31st of the year they reach the relevant age limit. This rule aims to provide stability and consistency for young athletes as they develop in their respective categories.
