IPSC will be present at SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2024

The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) will be present at SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2024 from 7 to 11 April in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

SportAccord is the world’s premier and most exclusive sports summit. It is the only place where you can meet all International Sport Federations. In 2024, the Summit will welcome over 1,500 global sports leaders and key decision makers.

“SportAccord Summit participation is one more IPSC step to the Olympic recognition!” IPSC President Vitaly Kryuchin said.

The IPSC delegation will be represented at the SportAccord Summit 2024 by both headquarters’ members and Regional Directors. The Confederation will be represented with a stand (stand 42) and will share information about the IPSC sport during all days of the Summit and its Exhibition.

IPSC will take part in the SportAccord Summit for the third time. IPSC took part in the Summit for the first time in 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand and in 2019 in Gold Coast, Australia with the help of Australia IPSC Region.

The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) will be present at SHOT Show 2024 from 23 to 26 January in Las Vegas, USA, one of the world’s largest professional events for the sport shooting, hunting and outdoor industry.

The IPSC Sanctioning Committee breaks a new record

The IPSC Sanctioning Committee breaks a new record

The Committee has broken the barrier of 603 sanctions this year for IPSC level 3-5 matches.

By the end of 2023, the Committee will end up at 610+ matches, which is an increase of 22% over 2022.

IPSC sports development is going on at a fast speed and more and more IPSC Regions show a great rate of match organizing in all IPSC disciplines.

The discipline of Practical Shooting has experienced great growth in recent years and more top athletes raise to the podium in every competition.
 
To explore and study new developments, a scientific research laboratory will be opened at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Physical Education and Sport Science to study different aspects of physical psychological and mental training, nutrition as well as to gather material and conduct research together with the scientists from other universities.
 
The developments and findings will be widely shared with other institutions within our IPSC Regions for the betterment of Practical Shooting.

IPSC Guam News – National Range Officers Institute Graduates 10 Range Safety Officers

The [Guam] National Range Officers Institute, an ancillary of the Marianas Practical Shooting Association (MPSA), graduated ten Range Officers under the guidance of the International Range Officers Association. These ten graduates have taken the first step to achieving international recognition as certified International Range Officers. They will soon be qualified to officiate at practical shooting competitions on Guam and other IPSC Regions.

The newly minted Range Officers are members of MPSA-affiliated shooting clubs, the Guahan Practical Shooting Association and the Guam Gunners Club. A second set of candidates will be receiving their certifications before the end of 2023.

The NROI will host more classes in 2024. The goal is to prepare Guam’s practical shooting competitors and Range Officers for the Australasia Handgun Championship in August 2024 and other significant practical shooting competitions for 2025 and beyond!

The Marianas Practical Shooting Association is the accepted and acknowledged national controlling entity of the sport of “Practical Shooting” in Guam. MPSA is an affiliate of the International Practical Shooting Confederation. The National Range Officers Institute certifies Range Officers under the guidance and authority of the International Range Officers Association.
