The closing ceremony of the IPSC 2nd Rifle World Shoot 2019 took place in the Conventum congress in the Örebro city, on Saturday, August 10.

 In 2019, about 650 athletes from 37 countries took part in the Rifle World Shoot. The largest national teams were represented by such countries as Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia and Germany.

The stages were run by 60 international range officers (IROA) representing and 47 national range officers (NROI) representing 10 Regions

The Organizing Committee prepared 5 areas and 30 challenging stages for the athletes at the Villingsberg shooting range, which is situated 230 km from Stockholm.

The stages were located in a military shooting zone of 20 000 hectares (ca 49 000 acres). The stage design was totally integrated into nature, in bushes, forests, and lakes. The natural décor was amazing. This “3D” range was totally appropriate for IPSC Rifle Shooting and responded the safety requirements.

The RWS 2019 lasted from August 3 to 10. The main match took place on August 4 – 9, a shoot off and the awarding ceremony took place on August 10.

The RWS 2019 closing ceremony was attended by IPSC President Vitaly Kryuchin, IROA President Dino Evangelinos, IPSC Secretary Friedrich Gepperth, IPSC Sweden Regional director and a representative of the host region Roland Dahlman, and Swedish official representatives of the regional military and city authorities, athletes, officials, and their families and guests.

 With the support of the Swedish Army and match sponsors the 2019 Rifle World Shoot was a success!
