We named the 1998 American Handgunner Postal Match "Ladies Choice" in honor of the many wonderful IPSC women shooters around the world. There were 1,618 (valid) entries in total from 31 Regions.

The Winners

  Open Standard Modified
Overall Eric Grauffel (FRA) Tim Copperstone (USA) Robert Buntschu (SUI)
Lady Doni Johnston (CAN) Jenny Johnson (USA)
Junior Eric Grauffel (FRA) Trevor Roe (USA)
Senior George Cunningham (USA) Salim Dominguez (USA) James Watson (USA)
Region United States United States United States

Eric Grauffel does it again, winning Open Division for France, and therefore winning the Junior category in Open Division as well. But unlike last year, his performance was not enough for France to win top Region in Open Division this time. The USA swept all three Divisions in Region results, as well as the Senior category in all three Divisions.

The USA also wins top Junior in Standard Division. The winner in Modified Division is from Switzerland. There were not enough entries for category winners in Modified Division.

And since this match is called Ladies Choice, we give special attention to the Ladies category. Doni Johnston wins Open Division for Canada. Just like last year, Canada again has a strong showing in this category. In Standard Division the USA took the top 5 places, with Jenny Johnson taking top honors.

Congratulations to all competitors!
